GIMP

GIMP means "GNU Image Manipulation Program". But do you care? ;) All you really want to know is that GIMP is a free image editor (think Photoshop) and works on Windows/Mac/Linux. GIMP 2.4 just came out and includes tons of improvements.

BlueprintCSS

BlueprintCSS

is a CSS framework, which aims to cut down on your CSS development time. It gives you a solid CSS foundation to build your project on top of, with an easy-to-use grid, sensible typography, and even a stylesheet for printing.

With an easy-to-use grid generator, quick start guide, tutorial and a few demonstration sites, what more can you ask for?

LoomTV

LoomTV looks interesting as it claims to revolutionize your internet video watching experience. Available for Windows/Mac (yes, it's a program), LoomTV requires a free LoomTV account to download (that means you need to signup with them). Unfortunately, that's about as far as I was willing to go, since almost everything on the site is written in German. If you're German and reading this (heh, what are the odds?), maybe you could try it out and share your experience.
