Free Icons, Banners, Backgrounds and 3 Column Templates for your website
OpenWebGraphics is a new repository for user submitted graphics. Whether its icons, banners or backgrounds, everything you find there is free to use! It's very new so there isn't much to go around yet, but it should get better in time to come.
A great companion to the free graphics would be 30+ Free Three-Column Website Templates @ Mashable. Over 30 modern designs ranging from fancy to minimalistic (read: web 2.0) are listed so you shouldn't have a problem finding something you like.
Free Encryption Programs
LockBox Computing: 25 Free Tools To Encrypt Literally Everything @ VirtualHosting has plenty of free programs to keep your data or communications secure. From your email to your harddisk or even instant messaging, there is a free encryption utility to suit your purpose.
UpdateStar
UpdateStar is a free program to keep your other programs updated. With useful features such as personalized updates, it's definitely worth a look if you have tons of programs installed. It's currently still in beta so you may encounter some bugs.
MojoPac
MojoPac allows you to bring your PC anywhere you go. Simply by installing MojoPac on your USB device, which can be an iPod, cellphone, USB harddisk or thumbdrive, you transform it into a portable PC. Plug it into another PC and you're all set. Games, Microsoft Office, iTunes or many other applications can be loaded onto your USB device. However there are several caveats. At the moment, MojoPac only supports Windows XP (Vista is being worked on), requires administrative privileges on the host PC (they hope to fix this with version 2.0) and is free only for personal use.
