Asus just announced their Eee PC is ready for the world and everyone is scrambling to check it out (so much so that Asus site is slowing down). The "Eee" is actually an abbreviation and stands for
- Easy to learn, work, play;
- Excellent Internet experience and
- Excellent mobile computing experience.
Targeting thrifty/needy users, the Eee PC can be said to be a competitor of the XO laptop. However none of that actually concerns you and all you want to really know is the specs (and the all important price). :)
Fortunately Asus has listed this handy comparison chart on their website, all I needed to do was to copy and paste it here. :) The disclaimers you see at the bottom is combined from this page and this page (same as link in previous sentence). Yes it's weird that different disclaimers are listed on each page.
The price was a bit trickier - it was from Taiwan's Asustek launches 'low-priced' laptop @ AFP.
