Official Rapidshare Manager beta?

Official Rapidshare Manager beta From the icon on the left and the screenshots below, it appears that Rapidshare has developed their very own download/upload manager for premium users. It's been floating around forums for a few days now. The quote below is supposed to be an official comment from them.

We have developed our own program that is now in its late beta testing. The
program allows premium users to download and upload files with a new size of
4000 MB per file.

Please note that the language can be changed in the programs options in
English or German.
At the moment we have no documentation to this program, please ask our support
if you have any questions.


The highlight of this comment is the increase of the maximum file size to 4GB. Wonder if that's because they use FAT32. However, Since the validity of this program hasn't been verified, I'm not providing links to it. Besides, it's fairly easy to find it online.

A rapidshare premium link mirror

Here's another site that lets you download from rapidshare using (other people's) premium accounts. Basically it operates via similar logic as other rapidshare premium link sites. The steps to download a file from rapidshare are as follows:

  1. Paste a link inside the rapidshare-link box and press enter or click the button beside the box.
  2. Next, if your file requires more votes then spread the rapidshit links to other people (see below for an explanation on this) and come back to download the file via the rapidshit link. Otherwise click on the download link that is hosted on another file host with no limits.
Woah? You mean it's not a direct download? Yup, this site is not like other premium link makers/generators. It is a rapidshare mirror. Files are hosted on another file host with no limits, instead of direct downloads. The upside of this is that other people can actually download the file from the other file host. The downside is that the other file host may not be too reliable or fast.

Speaking of differences, a big and welcome difference is that there are a lot of premium accounts available at this site. And by a lot of accounts, I really do mean plenty. The last time I checked, there were about 100+ premium accounts that were working according to the site! That means that a few hundred gigs of files can be served each day! I'm quite sure that beats any other (public) rapidshare premium link site hands down.

Before you get too excited at the prospect of leeching from the site, you should be aware that the site has certain protections against leechers. The most prominent of those is the file voting that is activated for all files. Currently 5 people must click on the same rapidshit link for it to be uploaded to the other file host. If you download regularly from rapidshare, they recommend getting your own premium account (as with other similar sites).

There are also some handy features available on this site. If you have several links you want to download you can copy and paste these links into the convertor to convert these links into rapidshit links. You can then spread these links in forums, etc. Another useful feature is the ability to keep track of files you have accessed in your current browser session. This allows you to quickly select a file for download after you have converted it into a rapidshit link. Additional help is available at the support link on the site.

As you can see, this service is very useful and handy for those without rapidshare premium accounts. If you intend to use this site (or any other rapidshare premium link sites), please do not abuse them in any way.

Some useful sites for rapidshare (proxy, premium links and more) *Updated*

The last rapidshare post was quite popular and got quite a bit of attention. Since I was away for a while, I shall return with another rapidshare post. Hope this one gets as popular or perhaps even more.

In general, if you're from one of the unlucky countries where your ip is shared and getting a (free) rapidshare download going is harder than striking the lottery, you have several options available (that I know of).

  1. You could get a premium rapidshare account.
  2. You could ask someone to download it for you.
  3. You could use a proxy to bypass the download restrictions.
  4. You could download it from a remote server.
Of course you could download the file you want from some other server, or not download it at all, but that is not the point. What if the file you need/want is only on rapidshare?

If you're reading this far, then the first and second options are probably out of the question. Heck, if you manage to get a (working) premium rapidshare account from the dozens of (fake) premium account logins, then I congratulate you. But then why would you be reading this paragraph? :)

So, on to the third point - downloading through a proxy. If you're fairly competent with google then guiding you through this would be a waste of time. So I'm going to assume you will need some help.
Those should get you enough proxies to last for a while. However, if you want something automated, check out Rapidkill without server. It supports more than just rapidshare as well. You could also use those proxies with it.

Lastly, downloading from a remote server. Here are some premium link generator servers that will generate free rapidshare premium links.
Other than premium rapidshare servers, there are some servers that allow you to download from rapidshare via php scripts. (Everyone seems to prefer the rapidshare premium link makers above, so I don't intend to update this section.)

Free Rapidshare premium links

As you may or may not know, Rapidshare has been giving out free 2 day premium accounts recently (as recent as July 19th) and frequently. These accounts (a few thousand) seem to be available every couple of days and are gone in a few minutes (from what I've heard).

And many people seem to have extra premium accounts that they have no idea what to do with (or so I've seen). Well, here comes a site that harnesses the power of crowds just like digg. This site relies on donated premium accounts, which presumably means you don't want your account anymore, since the password has to be entered along with the login number.

Of course, if you have excess free premium accounts, this shouldn't be a problem. Currently, it appears that many people (about 1000) have unused accounts that are donated and put to good use. The site is quite nifty too, as it tells you the number of out-of-bandwidth accounts as well as giving you a direct download link. Expired accounts are purged automatically from the database so it seems everything has been covered, except when all the premium accounts expire...

Btw, at this time 300 accounts are out of bandwidth! Wow, that's like 3gb*300=900gb downloaded today!!! Insane!
