Will Smith's upcoming film, Hancock, is about him starring as a super-laid-back superhero. How much of a bum is he, you ask. Well, just click play to find out. Don't miss the wicked ending!
After laughing my way through it, I'm sensing that Hancock = the movie version of What if Superman was one of us (song: What if God was One of Us by Joan Osborne).

Reader Don Shellings just sent in 2 funny Time Crisis videos spoofing Scarface and Terminator. Without spoiling them for you, Scarface gets my vote as the better parody of the two.

At first glance, it looks like I just made some minor interface enhancements to tk Google Charter like styling the text boxes and drop down lists. However, there's more to that than meets the eye. ;)
The most important functionality, the ability to generate line and bar charts, that was lacking in the last version was added, which means that all types of charts that Google Charts API handles are now supported by tk Google Charter.
If you have no idea what your selected chart type would look like, simply choose any one that you're interested in. After making the big decision, my frenzied coding squirrels will scurry away and churn out a pretty little demo chart just for you with a little help from the Google pigeons. (I instructed them to call it a preview chart, but they whispered to me that it was confusing, since there was another preview chart.)
Lastly, chart size was also split up into width and height. My intelligent squirrels agree that it's more intuitive than typing 300x200. Maybe I should feed them more nuts. Then I'll get more ideas and you'll get quicker updates.
Disclaimer: No frenzied coding squirrels were ill-treated in the development of tk Google Charter or this post.

Shortly after yesterday's post, ta_mobile successfully dumped the new 4.6 bootloader by dissecting an iPhone and ripping apart its contents. Gory details of this operation can be found here. Prepare to avert your eyes as the innards of an iPhone lay bare for all to see.
As we mourn the death of an infant iPhone, take heart in the fact that its sacrifice was not meaningless. Soon the world will learn of the secrets and mysteries behind the impenetrable fortress that imprisoned it. And someday, its fellow brothers, like the ancestors before them, will be liberated from their captivity and be free to roam the world once more.
Disclaimer: No iPhones were harmed in the making of this post.

What Bigfoot, bro?
Having just caught wind of a Bigfoot sighting in Northwest Pennsylvania (news reports put the location at RIDGWAY, Pa. er... Ridgeway, not sure why they shortened it... My bad, RIDGWAY is correct.), I set out to investigate this current internet phenomenon as stated by the IHT. (That's International Herald Tribune for those of you who don't read the news. Actually neither do I, not IHT anyway, but that's besides the point. :) )So this so-called Bigfoot was caught on camera by a hunter named Rick Jacobs and was submitted to Bigfoot Research Organization for verification or whatever it is they do. :P (Not to nitpick with the news folks, but it is actually called Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, not Bigfoot Research Organization. A simple Google search told me so. I've highlighted this fact because I'm not sure how a 4-word title became a 3-word title.)
And so my journey began...
Can't find pics, bro‽
To cut a way-too-long story short, I couldn't find the pictures they were talking about. No photos/images of supposed Bigfoot at all! There were tons of words and words and more words, but no graphics. That is sad, bro. Just sad. There is hope, bro!
Of course that isn't totally true. I knew where the pictures of the Rick Jacobs Bigfoot, as it is known now (seems it's also called Ridgway Pa Bigfoot and Pennsylvania Bigfoot, but I think calling it after the discoverer is more appropriate. Heh, I like this one - Jacob's creature.), were located - at the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization website. Naturally it is swarmed with people and as expected their server isn't holding up too well. But I (you) want to see those pics!!!
Bigfoot pics, bro‽
And so, I downloaded those photos from the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization website for you to examine in detail. Yeah, they aren't the puny resolution types, they're at 800x600 pixels. Ok, so that can't match the 16 billion pixel Last Supper, but the last time I checked, 16 billion pixels can't fit on your computer screen.Word of warning, bro.
You're about to see Bigfoot in action! (Not as exciting as you think.) This Bigfoot has been named theRick Jacobs Bigfoot, Ridgway Pa Bigfoot, Pennsylvania Bigfoot or Jacob's creature.
Any other names, bro? Let me know, bro! It's Bigfoot, bro!
Click on the last three images to be rewarded with a larger picture. Credit: Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, taken by Rick Jacobs

What say you, bro?
Sasquatch? Bigfoot? Bear? Alien? Let me know, bro! (Err... gals welcome too. :) )An update, bro.
Now that the BFRO site is up (at least for me), the black object you see in the last three pictures is a black plate and a mineral block. Just in case anyone was hoping for some fancy UFO or something else. :)The area in the foreground was baited with a deer attractant mix and a mineral lick block. In the first image (the one with the bear cubs) the mineral lick block can be seen sitting on a large black plastic plate. One of the bear cubs is apparently licking or sniffing the mineral block. In the two subsequent images the black plate is turned over and leaning against the mineral block. - from Jacobs Photos - Pennsylvania, 9/16/2007 @ BFRO
And you can join in the discussion over at BFRO's dedicated Jacobs Photos - Pennsylvania forum. There are polls, image enhancements/analysis and plenty of talk going on there. More than enough to make it into a subject you can get a degree in. :)

Apple just released 3 more iPhone ads in addition to the 3 commercials that I posted earlier. It continues along the same theme about how the iPhone helps in the users' everyday lives. But I bet you're more interested in Kristin Sloan (or her official website) or the play, My First Time (may not be work safe).
Bryce “Delay”
Kristin “The Winger”
Ken “My Show”
Meet the SPARTANS!!!
Despite what others are saying, I would like to see how this all plays out. Just cause I like mindless/brainless movies every once in a while.

A while back, I signed up for Blog Action Day hoping to come up with something smart on Oct 15 for the event. Well, today is Blog Action Day and I'm still out of ideas. Instead of continuing with my fruitless efforts, I'm right here blogging away, wasting precious resources. (More on this later.)
Blog Action Day?
If you don't already know, the point of Blog Action Day is to get hundreds if not thousands of bloggers to act as one single voice. Hopefully that combined voice would be loud enough to be heard around the world, so that a change could be made. This year's theme is all about the environment.Win some, Lose some?
As I was desperately searching for tips or clever ideas to save the environment or anything about the environment (this is just exaggeration :) ), something struck me. Blog Action Day wants bloggers to talk about the environment, but as each of them do so, they are wasting electricity in the process. And as each new blogger joins in the movement, a bit more juice is used up. Heck, I'm contributing to the wastage! But that's only part of the problem. Everybody is posting about the same thing over and over again (although in different wording and expression), so everywhere you go all you see is Blog Action Day, though it may not be so obvious in the post title. But when you click into the post, you find out that no one (including me) has anything intelligent to say and you've just wasted 5 minutes of your life and some coal. You shrug to yourself and carry on with your surfing, all the while reducing available fuel reserves.
Sure, now everyone knows no one (maybe only me) has anything smart to talk about the environment, but what about the environment? Who's going be responsible for all the extra greenhouse gases released into the air caused by Blog Action Day (and the mess on Google)? You? Me? Bloggers?
Solution!
Don't waste your time reading/blogging about Blog Action Day! In fact, don't switch on your computer at all! It'll do the environment some good, plus it'll save you some money.Am I going to switch mine off right now? Well, no. A computer actually doesn't use much electricity and Blog Action Day is a great idea. It's just too bad you've read this far thinking otherwise. :)
Thank you for reading this post. Would you like 5 minutes of your life back?

I really enjoyed these 2 videos, so I thought I might as well share them with you. Gravesite is the final ad in the Halo 3 Believe campaign and as you may have expected, spawns a new beginning. What that means, well, watch it to find out. :)
If you missed the rest of the Halo commercials, you can catch them all here:
- Halo 3: Enemy Weapon aka Two Soldiers Reminisce Ad and the Hunted Ad
- Halo 3: Believe in the Master Chief and making of the diorama
- Halo 3 Museum Ad
Plus you can also catch the Halo 3 ending and download wallpapers from the diorama.
The Perfect Girl by Whip It Out Comedy is a short but absolutely hilarious clip. Pay attention to the video or you'll miss it! Let's just say it's not something you should try on your girlfriend. :)

As you may have noticed, I just signed up to be part of Blog Action Day. I've seen it around on quite a number of blogs now and since it appeared on the Blogger Dashboard, I thought why not. After all, you'll get a free link to your blog, which can't be too bad right? I guess 8,000 other bloggers thought the same way. :)
The objective of Blog Action Day is to get bloggers to blog about a single topic and this year's topic happens to be about the environment. There are 3 different ways to get involved - blogging, donating or promoting - and I've managed to nail all three of them with this single post! Any one of them is sufficient to get your blog listed, so fulfilling all 3 really is just an overkill but very much appreciated, I'm sure. :)
First, see this...
Thanks to Joy of Tech. Now that you have the general idea of how to save the environment, you can apply the reasoning to other downloadable stuff as well! And because you've saved money on gas, you can now donate to the environmental charity of your choice! Plus it reduces your carbon footprint (no driving, remember?)! See how one simple action can change the world? Just don't tell the nice guys in suits I told you. :)

The new iPhone "switch" commercials. The first one is titled Doug “Mankind”, followed by Elliot “Meredith” and finally wrapping things up with Stephano “One Thing”. Similar to Apple's switch ads for the Mac, except there's no PC here. I suppose you could consider every other phone to be on the other end of the ring.
I like how the ads have an impromptu feel to them with the guys packing up at the end of each ad. They may tout the iPhone as the greatest phone thing since sliced bread, but I could easily see how that could end up...
"Hey Doug, I've got great news. I'm off to Europe to start a family. (Commence 4 min message about meeting a girl)... Oh by the way, call me back today if you want your money back." - Jim.
"Elliot, the iPhone is great. I absolutely love it! Thanks! And One More Thing, I know your phone saved my ass once but you've been treating it better than me." - Elliot's fiancee.
"Mr Stephano, we're very sorry about your phone. Rest assured that your insurance will cover the full cost of the phone. However, our records indicate these were bought with your credit card..." - Stephano's bank.

Sometimes I think Southwest Airlines just wants publicity, whether it's positive or negative. After causing a public outcry in You're Too Sexy to Fly! and it's sequel, You're Too Sexy to Fly! Part 2, Southwest Airlines returns with a new one in its franchise.
This time, it involves a man instead of a woman and it's becoming (more) ridiculous. At least in the short-lived You're Too Sexy to Fly! series there was some room for debate, since the women were slightly under-dressed (for conservative folks anyway).
But this guy, Joe Winiecki, was singled out due to the shirt he was wearing. He had three choices - change his shirt, turn it inside out or skip the flight. Eventually he opted to swap his shirt as he didn't want to miss work.
What was wrong with the shirt? Was it showing too much? Perhaps some obscenity? Nope. All that fuss over two words - "Master Baiter" - which was printed on his fictional fishing shop T-shirt. If you say "Master Baiter" really fast, you'll get another interpretation which could be construed as offensive, but that's really your fault. After all, Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers were rated PG-13 and no one was upset.
My curious mind decided to try googling for the Master Baiter T-shirt and I think this is it. The evil Master Baiter shirt. Potential fliers heed the warning. No Master Baiters allowed.

Playing golf all day under the hot sun is very exhausting besides being boring. So Woody Austin decided to spice things up a little by diving into a lake. He sure looks revitalized after that quick splash. All hail Woody Austin for bumping golf up a notch above car racing in my list of sports that provide as much entertainment as watching paint dry.

(The ending features possibly Not Work Safe language. But then again why are you watching this at work? I'm quite sure your work is a million times more entertaining than this.)
(Inaccurate and wildly distorted) Description:
This guy is like the Pied Piper of drugged up ecstasy e-tards. Remember, Technoviking does not dance to the music, the music dances to Technoviking!
Do not ask me how this video got over 1,000,000 views in less than a day. And no, the million isn't a typo. Seriously how does a clip showing a half clothed muscle man writhing to some techno music garner so much interest?
Well if you're wondering the same thing, here are some things I found out about the video. First, it came from an event called F**kParade, which is more of a demonstration than a parade. This is obvious at the end of the video but what the hell is the F**kParade? I'll let Wikipedia fill you in. (I have no problem with the uncensored version of the name, but some people do so there you go.)
Second, probably everyone who saw this was German. Yeah, I know you're not German and neither am I but that only makes the 2 of us. How else can you account for the absurd number of views?
Third, there isn't really a point to the video - hence the most pointless video you'll see today. At first, I thought it was going to lead somewhere but that somewhere turned out to be nowhere. Unless you count nowhere as a somewhere.
Now that I'm done, can I have 5 minutes of my life back please?

Seen on digg: Thieves steal laptop. Caught on camera. Found on Flickr. Hunt the hunters!
Disclaimer: As noted by some diggers and comments at his blog, the person may simply be an innocent man who bought one of the stolen laptops.

Just a joke? Not so, it's a real body hack. Imagine all the extra things you could do - daydream, laze around, surf this blog, etc... if you can convince your boss he should be paying you to sleep while everyone else is working.

Have you read Nebraska state senator sues God? No? Well if you did, you would have known that a state senator is going up against God by filing a lawsuit against the Almighty. Sure this isn't about his personal feud with God, it's about making a point against frivolous suits. However based on Man's history with God, God probably won't be too pleased about being sued.
According to Scott Adams (yes, the Scott Adams who authors Dilbert comics), in Suing God (a hilarious post by the way), God would opt for a public defender instead of jumping into the trial. But is that the only thing God will do? Maybe he has other things up his sleeve.
How about death from above? Plan A: Send in a meteorite as a friendly warning. Add in a mystery illness just for good measure. Can't be too specific, must leave humans puzzled. Wait for response.
If you see the guy who's suing God, please tell him to stop, I don't even want to know what Plan B is.

We've seen how listing your real name beside your email address is not a good idea, especially when Google is around. And Google is always around. So if you're about to post a bug report, don't follow in this guy's footsteps.
